Interesting Approach To Legalize Online Gambling

If you have been paying attention, you must have noticed that since the New Year rolled around, a number of states around the country have clearly decided to take on the issue of legal online casino action. Yet that being said, none of them have attempted to go about it in the manner that a rather forward thinking group of Representatives are attempting.
Here is what this is all about. Note that this is taking place in the state of New Hampshire of all places, not exactly the hotbed of online gambling site controversy to be sure. Anyway, you may be interested to learn that a new Bill was introduced by New Hampshire Republican Representatives Eric Schleien, Nick Zaricki and Robert Fisher.
There is a key point to understand about this new Bill, HB562 to be exact. For the record, HB562 is remarkably short and to point. Get this: HB562 has one and only one intent, that of exempting online gambling from the New Hampshire definition of illegal gambling activities.
Take a look at a brief excerpt of the Bill: “…This bill exempts gambling done over the Internet from gambling offenses under RSA 647. The Department of Justice to date has neither investigated nor prosecuted online gambling offenses and therefore does not expect this bill to have any impact on expenditures.”
Interesting to say the least, don’t you agree? After all, you most likely are well acquainted with the online gambling legalization legislative paths taken by other states. Consider the state of New Jersey. As you probably know, New Jersey first legalized online casino for its resident back in 2013. However, this process involved quite of bit of forethought and focused legislation. For example, New Jersey took the time to establish a clear set of rules and regulations for both the online casino player and the online gambling site operator.
On the other hand, HB562 purports to do nothing more than to decriminalize online gambling activity. So the next obvious question that pops up is whether or not this is actually a superior approach. After all, quite a number of states have been debating legal online casino action for quite a number of years at this point.
The approach taken by the New Hampshire Representatives may prove to be a more streamlined approach. In other words, New Hampshire is contemplating decriminalizing online gambling activity first instead of arguing back and forth about the various rules and regulations that would need to be put in place.
